Week of August 29 – September 4, 2010 

V  Prayer of the Week:

O God, I pray that you fill me with your Spirit in a way that fosters humility.  Protect me from the arrogant desire to be better than others; enable me, by your grace, to be better in sharing with others and understanding others.  Help me to see that true humility is a trait to be strengthened; grant me the    courage and patience that are necessary for humility to develop.  Also allow me to be as loving as Jesus, in a way that excludes no one; in a way that brings the reality of your reign to bear on  the affairs of this world.  In the name of Jesus.  Amen.
