What can I expect in Church?

All worship experiences at St. James will follow the format of:

Gathering - coming together to be the church in here

Word - biblical readings and a shared message

Meal - celebration of Holy Communion

Sending - blessed to be church out there

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably. We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in.

What’s available for my kids?

Children of all ages are welcome at worship. Nursery care and Children's Church is also available on Sundays at our 10:45 am service and nursery care is available the 9 am worship during the summer.

You are invited . . . On April 13, 2005, St. James Lutheran Church in Pottstown began a new worship service called Rejoicing Spirits. *Rejoicing Spirits, on the 2nd Wednesday evening of each month, ministers to people with developmental disabilities, their families, their caregivers, and other supportive members in the community.* This unique worship service is designed to capture the attention and interest of those in the community with special needs and to create an environment that is accepting and welcoming to all of God's children. Please join us at St. James Lutheran Church at the corner of High and Price Streets in Pottstown for the Rejoicing Spirits worship each month on the second Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. If you have any questions or would like further information, please call the church office at 610-326-2810.
