Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church

What We Believe

That God the Father created all things, including each of us.

That Jesus Christ, his Son, came to bring us into a saving relationship through his death and resurrection

That we are called to be disciples of Jesus in service to God and others, as a church and in our individual lives.

That the Holy Spirit leads us to do this in a bold and determined way through the faith that God has given us.

That God sustains us in that faith through our hearing the Word and receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion at worship on Sundays; and that these gifts are a foretaste of the gift of salvation, which begins for us in our Baptism.

That these are not things for us to keep to ourselves, but blessings that we should share freely with others

That, as Jesus reached out to the least of society, we are called to do the same by  inviting, welcoming, and accommodating them to worship with us.

That the variation in the church seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost helps us to deepen our spiritual growth and to become stronger in our faith.
