Sunday, June 29, 2008 A new bible study begins july 1st and 3rd. The Bible Study, Lord Teach Us to Pray, is on the Lord’s Prayer. Bible study is Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. at St. James and on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. at Sanatoga Retirement Community. The study, lead by Pastor Hutchinson, will end on July 29th and 31st. The next miller keystone blood drive is july 7 from 2- 7 p.m. Please call Marge Fegley at 610-323-3936 to make an appointment. Register early for vacation bible school. Don't forget to invite your friends, neighbors and relatives to also participate in VBS. VBS is open to children preschool-grades 6 and is July 20-24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Registration forms are available in Horn Hall on the sign up bulletin board. Volunteers are needed to assist with vbs. Help is needed in all areas including games, snacks, teaching preschool, and guides for the student groups. If you would like to volunteer please complete a form found in Horn Hall or see or call Suzanne (610-326-2810) Activity bags and children’s bulletins with activities and puzzles will be available weekly during the summer. Please see an usher if you need one for your child(ren). Please return the bags after worship. Don’t forget to support those in need with food donations for the Pottstown Cluster Outreach Center. Donations may be brought to church on Sunday, and placed in the basket located in Horn Hall or in the basket by the lower level mailboxes located at the bottom of the stairs closest to the parking lot. Church picnic is july 27 at the hutchinsons. Please sign up no later than July 20 in Horn Hall if you plan to attend. We will provide the meat and drinks. Everyone is asked to bring a dish/dessert to share and folding and lawn chairs. There will be games and fun for all ages and a pool for those who would like to swim (children must be supervised in the pool). Want to help with the church picnic? We are looking for individuals for the church picnic team to plan and make it all happen (set up/tear down; kids' activities; cooks; BINGO; etc.) If you are interested in being apart of this group, please contact Debbie Hutchinson (610- 718-0313) or Suzanne Rigg (610-326-2810). Support vacation bible school through donations of food and other items. Donations include large sugar cookies, M&Ms, vanilla ice cream, pre-package chocolate pudding, Ritz crackers, grape soda, prepared frosting, candy orange slices, whipped topping, paper plates, paper cups, napkins, hand wipes, antibacterial hand gel, paper towels, etc. Please see the sign up sheet in Horn Hall for a complete list of items that are needed and to donate any of these items. Movie night coming in august. Mark your calendars that Movie Night will be on Tuesday nights beginning on August 5 at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. Details on what movies will be showing will soon be available. Individuals in need of prayer may be added to our prayer list found on the Guide to Daily Prayer by using the communication cards located in the pews or by informing Suzanne Rigg who maintains the prayer list.
