You are loved. You are worthwhile.

Lent is a reflective season in the church. Many give something up … coffee, sweets, etc. Someone recently said, we should instead give up our disbelief. The nagging little voice that tells us God does not love or forgive us. For the next couple of blogs, you can read a conversation between that voice and the Bible.

You are a nobody. Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth." (Luke 5:13)

You can never make a difference. Jesus said, "You are the light of the world." (Luke 5:14)

You are poor – you are worthless. "Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." (Luke 12:20)

You are such a worrywart, you can't be a disciple. "Peace I give to you, my peace I give to you." (John 14:27)

You are so weak, anything can pull you away from God. "Holy Father, protect them." (John17:11)

You are unlovable. "No greater love than this, that I lay down my life for my friends." (John 15:13)
