Some folks have quit watching or reading national and international news. Why? Too much violence. Too much division. Too depressing … and many other reasons. But there are sparks of compassion and hope in the world. Thirteen soccer players and their coach were rescued from a cave in Thailand. A Boy Scout was rescued from drowning by his leader (who died in the effort). Several dozen children have been reunited with parents who were being held by ICE. Strangers on an airline flight donated $530 to a teacher who works with needy children. YOU can be a spark of hope! A prayer, a protest, a donation, an hour to volunteer. Even a small effort can make a difference.
