With God, all things are possible.

Lent is a reflective season in the church. Many give something up … coffee, sweets, etc. Someone recently said, we should instead give up our disbelief. The nagging little voice that tells us God does not love or forgive us. For the next couple of blogs, you can read a conversation between that voice and the Bible.

You have never accomplished much of anything.

"Those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 14:11)

You will always be the lost sheep – out of sight, out of mind.

Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost! (Luke 15:16)

You have so little faith – you will fall away.

Jesus said, "If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you could say to this tree, be uprooted, and it would obey you." (Luke 17:6)

With all you have said and done … you don't deserve mercy.

Jesus said, "Today you will be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43)

Your world will always be dark – nothing can change that.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. (John 1:5)
