Lent is a reflective season in the church. Many give something up … coffee, sweets, etc. Someone recently said, we should instead give up our disbelief. You have never accomplished much of anything.
"Those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 14:11)
You will always be the lost sheep – out of sight, out of mind.
Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost! (Luke 15:16)
You have so little faith – you will fall away.
Jesus said, "If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you could say to this tree, be uprooted, and it would obey you." (Luke 17:6)
With all you have said and done … you don't deserve mercy.
Jesus said, "Today you will be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43)
Your world will always be dark – nothing can change that.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. (John 1:5)
