How Everything Has a Time and Place
Some call it "Covid fog. "Do you remember what day it is? What is on your agenda? Or does one day resemble the last and blend into the next? I am not a technological person. It's so bad that I can write a blog but don't know how to post it anywhere! So I keep a paper calendar. It usually serves me well. And looking at a month at a time, I can tell when urgent things took over a daily plan or when something had to be canceled. So – when I think about God, our Creator,


Awaken to Renewed Life and Strength
Stir up, our hearts, O God, and draw near. Give us the energy to care and motivation to help others. Give us the desire for peace and equality and remind us to work for it. Cause us, O Lord, our God, to lie down in peace, and to awaken to renewed life and strength. Hear our prayer, O Lord. (An ancient Jewish prayer).


Pray for People Who Serve in High Places
In First Timothy 2 we are reminded to pray for kings and those who serve in high places as a way of bringing about a peaceable existence and dignity. Pray for Mr. Trump, Mr. Pence and their families as they transition to a new chapter in their lives. Pray for Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris as they transition into the highest positions in our land. May all leaders, here and abroad work for justice, mercy and peace.
