I can do all things...

Lent is a reflective season in the church. Many give something up … coffee, sweets, etc. Someone recently said, we should instead give up our disbelief. The nagging little voice that tells us God does not love or forgive us. For the next couple of blogs, you can read a conversation between that voice and the Bible.

God will always be distant from you because of your sin.

And the Word became flesh and lived among us. (john 1:14)

You? Why would God save you?

Jesus said, "God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:17)

You are so weak.

I can do all things through God who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:15)

God does not love you. Jesus said, "This is my body given for you." (Luke 22:19)

You are lost – helplessly, hopelessly lost.

The Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost. ((Luke 19:10)

You are beyond salvation.

What is impossible for humans is possible for God. (Luke 1:37)
